Gorgeous plating, wonderful tastes, and honest conversation with the folks behind the magic that didn’t come off that we were bothering them or that they had to fake their love of their craft.
Was able to share this experience with my father for his birthday, and just had an absolutely wonderful experience. . . Felt more like we were dining in their home than at a restaurant. Highly recommended stop, and look forward to trying more menus in the future.

Every dish was visually gorgeous and tasted divine.
We made a reservation at the Bewildered Pig during a girls weekend in Boonville. We had the five course tasting menu with wine pairing. The kitchen not only nails the plating but the textures were incredible! Thank you Bewildered Pig for an incredible and memorable experience!

We were pleasantly bewildered...
We arrived a bit early and we got to enjoy a glass of bubbly while sitting in the quaint outdoor patio, with a fire cauldron repurposed from rustic oil container situated on old train tracks. It was nice to chat with Daniel and taking in his whimsical creations. The prefixed dinner was perfectly paired with eclectic mix of wines. If the outdoor scape is backdrops of Daniel’s creations, each dinner course is Janelle’s painting palette. We were pleasantly bewildered.

My Wife and I came to The Bewildered Pig a week after it reopened on our trip to Mendocino.
Definitely a place worth coming to try, especially if you're visiting Mendocino, but make sure to make your reservations well in advance beforehand.

We had a lovely dinner here in November.
Their deconstructed potato salad is perfect. The eggs are perfectly cooked with a firm but moist egg yolk and fresh greens and cream that help to balance it. The soup was rich but refreshing with a lovely balance of green veggies, acidity, and richness.

Checked out this delightfully charming little restaurant a few weeks ago when we were in the area for a music festival at nearby Camp Navarro. So glad we did!
We experienced friendly service from multiple staffers during our visit. We had several courses, including shared miso deviled eggs and the "L'il" Caesar salad with added anchovies, which was plenty for us to share. For entrees, we went with pan-seared halibut and the pasta special. Both were fantastic.
But the real star of the entire meal was the absolutely incredible dessert called "An Ancient Buzz" - a frankincense and cardamom panna cotta with bee pollen, hazelnuts and a drizzle of warm, salted honey. It was so unique and just exquisite. Best dessert of the year nominee, to be sure! Looking forward to returning here when we're back in the lovely Anderson Valley.
